Report on the implementation of renewables with social impact in 4 pilots

At the heart of the POWER UP project is the implementation of pilot schemes on-site aiming to produce renewable energy with and for households in vulnerable situations. This document describes the implementation of these pilot schemes, covering four main aspects for each pilot: the technical, legal, and governance aspects of the project, as well as the key challenges encountered during implementation. Each scheme combines the production of renewable energy (wind or solar) with energy services (monetary or kWh) to selected vulnerable households. Seven models have been developed and rolled out. The diverse approaches and the lessons learned may be inspiring for other initiatives on renewable energy services for vulnerable people.

This report is deliverable D5.2 of the POWER UP project.
