In Italy, the spread of renewable energy communities is becoming one of the most effective responses to contemporary challenges related to energy and the energy transition. These communities enable clean energy production through plants located close to consumption sites, thus optimizing resource management and reducing transport losses.
Furthermore, by promoting renewable sources, renewable energy communities help reduce dependence on fossil fuels and strengthen the country’s energy self-sufficiency.
So, where are we with the development of energy communities in Italy? What models could be adopted, especially in the south? What opportunities and threats arise in this process? How can we ensure that everyone, without exception, benefits from this transition?
To answer these questions, the POWER UP Project in partnership with the RENOSS Project (National Network of One Stop Shops), organized this webinar “RENEWABLE ENERGY COMMUNITIES IN CAMPANIA: EXPERIENCES AND OPPORTUNITIES.”
